The knotted construction provides higher strength dynamic loading than knotless designs of similar size. The light weight, low friction Dyneema UHMPE fiber has low stretch and high strength characteristics that per pound is ten times stronger than equivalent steel and more than three times stronger than polyester. Dyneema is resistant to chemicals, acids and oils.
